Actor turned filmmaker Prabhudeva's new film titled Flashback was announced on Wednesday and will be directed by Don Sandy of the Jiiva-starrer Gorilla. Touted to be a coming-of-age film, the upcoming venture has Prabhudeva sharing screen space with actresses Regina Cassandra and Telugu star Anasuya Bharadwaj and is being produced under Ramesh P. Pillai's Abhishek Films banner. With the title announcement creating a lot of buzz already, the makers on Thursday treated fans to a double surprise by releasing two posters from Flashback, which shows Prabhudeva looking elegant, Regina Cassandra as a girl-next-door and Anasuya in a glam role. Below are the Flashback posters:

As of now, details on Flashback are scarce, with reports stating Prabhudeva will be playing the role of a writer. It is being stated the film will be on similar lines like Autograph, Premam and 96 and catering to both the youth and family audiences. It will be interesting to witness Prabhudeva in a film in this genre as he is known for taking up roles that are usually fun and mass-oriented. Considering the National Award-winning choreographer-actor had been busy for a while with his stint as a director, Prabhudeva will be looking to ace his role in Flashback and hit the bullseye as a performer.

Actress Regina Cassandra, who made heads turn in films like Kedi Billa Killadi Ranga, Rajathandhiram, Maanagaram, Nenjam Marappathillai, Kasada Thapara and most recently opposite Vijay Sethupathi in Mugizh, will once again look to deliver another praiseworthy performance in Flashback. The film also marks Anasuya Bharadwaj's Tamil cinema debut, who is a huge sensation in the Telugu film industry and is known among fans for starring in popular ventures like Kshanam and Rangasthalam. Sam C.S. is composing the music for Flashback, which has cinematography by Yuva of Teddy fame and editing by San Lokesh.
