Vaigaipuyal Vadivelu will be making his comeback after a hiatus with Naai Sekar Returns and the shooting of the film is progressing at a brisk pace right now. Naai Sekar Returns is directed by Suraaj and produced by Subaskaran's Lyca Productions on a grand scale. The film will have Vadivelu playing the much-loved Naai Sekar character from Thalainagaram. The film is expected to be high on comedy and the fans are eagerly looking forward to witnessing Vadivelu back in action. Having said that, the makers have now shared an exciting update regarding the film and the update has garnered wide attention on social media.

Legendary choreographer Prabhu Deva has been roped in to choreograph a song in Naai Sekar and the song shoot took place recently. The team is said to be elated with the outcome of the song and it is said that the song will be a visual treat for the fans. Lyca Productions, in an official tweet, wrote, "Excited to announce @PDdancing master has choreographed a song for #NaaiSekarReturns 🐶 Witness our #VaigaiPuyalVadivelu's thaaru maaru moves again... 🕺🏻". Earlier this week, a video of Vadivelu singing 'Sing in the Rain' with Prabhu Deva turned viral on social media and it has now been confirmed that the said video was taken at the shooting spot of Naai Sekar Returns.

Naai Sekar Returns has music composed by Santhosh Narayanan, marking his first association with Vadivelu. This comedy entertainer has editing by Selva RK, while Umesh J Kumar will be heading the art department. Shivani Narayanan of Bigg Boss fame plays a crucial role in the film that also has Anandaraj, Redin Kingsley, Vigneshkanth, Lollu Sabha Maran, Sivaangi, and others in supporting roles. Apart from Naai Sekar Returns, Vadivelu is also working on Udhayanidhi Stalin's Maamannan, helmed by Mari Selvaraj. Keerthy Suresh and Fahadh Faasil play the other leads in Maamannan.
