The long wait for leading Telugu superstar Prabhas' fans has come to an end as the superstar's Salaar, which has been a highly-anticipated venture right from the get-go, is finally out with a massive update. Being directed by KGF films fame Prashanth Neel under producer Vijay Kiragandur's Hombale Films banner, the upcoming film is billed to be an out-and-out raw and mass action thriller and was initially announced for a worldwide theatrical release on 14 April, 2022. Having said that, Hombale Films on the special occasion of Independence Day on Monday, August 15, has announced that Prabhas' Salaar will open in cinemas on September 28, 2023

The new Salaar release date assures the team will be looking to come out delivering the best output when the film arrives in cinemas in the second half of 2023. Prabhas will be looking to hit the bullseye with the upcoming film, especially after his Radhe Shyam didn’t sizzle at the box office as expected and the pan-Indian superstar will be hopeful at coming out with yet another cracker of an entertainer on the lines of his Baahubali films. Fans will also be looking to see what director Prashanth Neel has to offer next with his Salaar after his KGF franchise went on to become roaring nationwide box office blockbusters as well as setting a new trend for action in films. Apart from Prabhas being the star attraction in Salaar, the film will see the 'Rebel Star' and Shruti Haasan as the lead pair, followed by Malayalam superstar Prithviraj Sukumaran speculated to be the antagonist, while Jagapati Babu, Sriya Reddy, among others forming the supporting cast, with KGF films music director Ravi Basrur composing the tunes and the background score. Salaar is one of the three biggies for Prabhas, who also has in his lineup films like Project K opposite Bollywood actress Deepika Padukone and acting legend Amitabh Bachchan, and the mythological venture Adipurush, which is based on the Hindu epic Ramayana.
