Baahubali star Prabhas has been busy promoting his upcoming fantasy period romantic drama Radhe Shyam, starring alongside Pooja Hegde and directed by Radha Krishna Kumar, and is scheduled for a worldwide theatrical release on March 11. While on a promotional tour and interacting with the media on March 8, he addressed the media, revealing that the Malayalam actor Prithviraj Sukumaran will also be a part of his upcoming action film Salaar in which Prabhas is set to star opposite Shruti Haasan. Prabhas said, "Prithviraj sir is doing that film (referring to Salaar). We are lucky and so happy that he accepted to be part of it,". He had kept his comments regarding this matter short and sweet to avoid revealing Prithviraj's character in it.

The film is helmed by Prashanth Neel of K.G.F: Chapter 1 & 2 fame. It will be produced by Vijay Kiragandur under the Hombale Films banner. Ravi Basrur has been roped in as the music composer while Bhuvan Gowda is to be the cinematographer. Apart from being released in just Telugu and Kannada, Salaar will also be dubbed in Tamil, Malayalam and Hindi.

Prithviraj had made his Telugu debut way back in 2010 with Police Police, a buddy cop film starring Sriram, Kamalinee Mukherjee, and Sanjjanaa in the other principal roles. After that, he has not done any Telugu film since then making Salaar a much-awaited project and something to look forward to. The film will also mark the actor's Kannada debut which will most definitely help him build pan-Indian status for himself.

Meanwhile, on the work front, Prithviraj Sukumaran will next be seen in the Malayalam thriller 'Jana Gana Mana' which is all set to release on April 28. Apart from Salaar, Prabhas three other exciting biggies - Spirit, Adipurush and Project K in his pipeline.
