Actress Shamna Kasim known by her stage name Poorna made her debut with the thriller Malayalam film Manju Poloru Penkutty in 2004. The actress has then done many films in Telugu, Tamil and a few in Kannada. She is known for taking up bold roles and aced them. Poorna made her Tamil debut with the film Muniyandi Vilangial Moonramandu and then acted in some popular films like Drohi, Aadu Puli, Vellore Maavattam, Jannal Oram, Kodiveeran, Adanga Maru, Kaappaan, Thalaivii and her recent film was Visithiran. The actress was also part of the Nani and Keerthy Suresh starrer Dasara which is running successfully in theatres.
The actress got married to a Dubai-based Malayali businessman Shanid Asifali in October 2022 and announced her pregnancy in December 2022. The actress also shared videos and photos from her seventh-month ritual that is followed in her home town in Kerala on 2nd March. She has now shared that the couple have welcomed a baby Body. She has shared photos from a hospital in Dubai. With the team of doctors and nurses and said “Thank you so much, Dr Fathima Safa & Team". She has also shared a cute picture of her husband holding the baby and kissing their son and the actress pecking her husband. She said “Blessed with a baby boy. Thank you all for the prayers and blessings" and tagged her husband. The cute photo has now become viral on social media.
