Ajith Kumar starrer Valimai has been dominating the box office ever since its opening weekend and it does not seem to be stopping or even slowing down for that matter. The film has grossed up to Rs. 100 crores worldwide at the end of its first weekend and still continues to go houseful all over the home state of Tamil Nadu. This film is written and directed by H. Vinoth and produced by Boney Kapoor. The two have already collaborated to work on the 2019 courtroom drama Nerkonda Paarvai also starring Ajith Kumar, Valimai is now the trio's second venture together.

No matter how well the film performed and no matter how happy the makers are about the film's response, things did not go entirely well with the film as the Lawyer Association filed a case against both the director and the producer of the film for misrepresenting the lawyers in the film and portraying them in a wrong light. They have therefore filed against the two in Chennai Police Commissioner's Office and have requested the officials to take appropriate action about them. The team behind the film and the fans have been disturbed because of this matter despite the massive win at the box office.

The film also stars Huma Qureshi and Gurbani Judge while Yuvan Shankar Raja has scored the music for the film and the final patchwork had been done by Ghibran. The cinematography is performed by Nirav Shah and editing by Vijay Velukutty. The film revolves around Arjun, a police officer, who is assigned the mission to hunt down a gang of violent outlaw bikers (Satan's Slave) after they are found involved in drug thefts, chain snatching, and murder. Now Ajith Kumar is all set to team up with producer Boney Kapoor for the third time to work on the now untitled film which will mark Ajith's 61st movie in the film industry.
