Silamabarasan TR’s latest film Pathu Thala was released in theatres on 30th March and is running successfully. The film was directed by Sillunu Oru Kaadhal fame Obeli N Krishna and was produced by K.E. Gnanavelraja under the banner Studio Green. The film was a remake of the hit Kannada film Mufti. It saw a huge opening in theatres as fans celebrated the release of the movie featuring their favourite actor. The flick also has Gautham Karthik, Priya Bhavani Shankar and Ganthan Vasudev Menon in important roles. It had music composed by AR Rahman and the songs in the album from the film was a massive hit.

The makers of Pathu Thala team shared that on the opening day, the film collected Rs 12.3 crores at the box office. They also said it was the career-best opening of the actor Silambararasan TR. Today, Tamil Nadu distributor of the film Sakthi Film Factory celebrated the success of the film with the crew and cast. The photos shared by the distribution house shows the head of the company Sakthivelan B felicitated the producer of Pathu Thala K.E. Gnanavelraja, director Obeli N Krishna and Silambarasan TR with garlands. They also shared group pictures of the crores of the film standing together celebrating the momentous occasion.

Production house that bankrolled Pathu Thala has an exciting line-up of films including Thangalaan directed by Pa.Ranjith with Vikram, Parvathy Thiruvothu, Pasupathy, Malavika Mohanan and Harikrishnan Anbudurai in important roles. The production is also backing the next project for Suriya which is directed by Siruthai Siva. The film is also mounted on a huge budget and more updates are expected to be released this month. Silamabaran TR also has an exciting unnamed project in line that is produced by Raaj Kamal Films International and is to be directed by Kannum Kannum Kollaiyadithal fame Desingh Periyasamy
