Thala Ajith's much-awaited biggie Nerkonda Paarvai is all set to hit the screens this Thursday (August 8th) in a grand manner. Nerkonda Paarvai, the official remake of the critically acclaimed Hindi film Pink starring Amitabh Bachchan and Taapsee Pannu lead roles. The courtroom drama film is written and directed by H Vinoth and produced by Boney Kapoor under his production banner Bayview Projects and Zee Studious. With Ajith, Nerkonda Paarvai has Shraddha Srinath, Abhirami Venkatachalam and Andrea Tariang Rangaraj Pandey and Adhik Ravichandran in important roles. Yuvan Shankar Raja has composed the music for the film.
Before the big release, the world premiere of Nerkodna Paarvai happened on Tuesday in Chennai and Singapore simultaneously. Nerkona Paarvai received some positive response from the critics after the premiere and the movie's review was the talk of the town.
Valaipechu, one of the popular YouTube channels in Kollywood also published their reviews about the film but the video received negative comments from the audience. The review video had RS Anantham, J Bismi, and C Sakthivel discussing the film and it was said as,
"In Pink, the lead girls seem to belong to an upper class, go to pubs and even reveal that they had sex at the age of 19. These kinds of things are common in the North which helped the movie to taste success. But when it comes to Tamil, our culture is totally different and the characters in the film are not relatable to us which makes us feel that these things are not issues for them. This thing might be a negative thing for the movie."
The comment backfired in a big way and Twitterati's began criticizing the YouTube channel. Celebrities from the industry also joined in to confront the review. Following the hatred, Valaipechu made an apology and removed the review video.
