The stage is set for ‘Thala’ Ajith’s Nerkonda Paarvai hitting screens across the world later this week from August 8 with expectations around the upcoming courtroom drama already quite huge. Produced by Boney Kapoor’s Bayview Projects LLP banner, director H. Vinoth has remade the film from Pink, which had Amitabh Bachchan and Taapsee Pannu in the lead roles. With the film’s theatrical release in India in another two days’ time, the premiere show for Nerkonda Paarvai has started in Singapore along with the special press show for the media in Chennai today; which is quite unprecedented for a top hero’s film. Now, with the press screenings underway, it has been revealed that Ajith's character's name in the film is Bharath Subramanian and clearly shuts down the rumors that Needhi Thevan is his name as was being said earlier.

Nerkonda Paarvai has plenty of excitement surrounding it as director H. Vinoth had recently in an exclusive interview to Galatta revealed that he had taken the basic outline of the original Hindi version and given it his own spin without crossing the boundaries that were already set earlier. He further stated that after he finished writing his own inputs for the Pink remake, he had met with the original filmmakers at Mumbai and then spoke to producer Boney Kapoor, who were all impressed with his suggestions after whic production had begun rolling. Apart from Ajith as the lead, Shraddha Srinath, Abhirami Venkatachalam, Andrea Tariang, Rangaraj Pandey, Adhik Ravichandran are playing important roles with Vidya Balan making a cameo appearance in Nerkonda Paarvai, which has music by Yuvan Shankar Raja.
