Udhayanidhi Stalin's new movie Nenjukku Needhi directed by Arunraja Kamaraj is all set for a worldwide theatrical release on 20 May 2022. Udhayanidhi's father and Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu, M.K. He is said to have liked it very much and expressed his congratulations to the entire team including the film's crew as well as producers Boney Kapoor and Rahul.

The film revolves around a cop who steps forward to fight against the oppressive system and corrupt forces to bring to justice the brutal gang rape and murder of two underprivileged girls. The upcoming political drama action film is directed by Arunraja Kamaraj and is a Tamil remake of the 2019 blockbuster Hindi film Article 15 which featured Ayushmann Khurrana. Other than Udhayanidhi Stalin, the Tamil remake also stars Aari Arujunan, Tanya Ravichandran, and Shivani Rajasekhar in pivotal roles as well as Suresh Chakravrthy, Yamini Chander, Ilavarasu, Mayilsamy, Abdool lee, Ratsasan Saravanan, Ramesh Thilak and Sivaangi Krishnakumar.

In May of 2020, Boney Kapoor purchased the remake rights of Article 15 in Tamil. The task was entrusted with Arunraja Kamaraj as his second film as acting director after the 2019 film Kanaa. The title Nenjuku Needhi was announced on 16 October 2021 and is named after the autobiography of Udhayanidhi's grandfather M. Karunanidhi.

Other than Nenjuku Needhi, Udhayanidhi Stalin is currently filming two more films at the moment - an untitled film under Magizh Thirumeni's direction and Mari Selvaraj's Maamannan.
