Leading South Indian actress Nayanthara is celebrating her birthday today and fans and celebrities have been sending in their wishes to the star, who is currently attached to several upcoming films. In that light, the actress, who will soon be making her acting debut in Bollywood opposite Shah Rukh Khan under Atlee's direction, has been announced on Thursday to be a part of yet another promising film in Tamil. The film announced to be titled as Connect will mark her reunion with director Ashwin Saravanan after their 2015 neo-noir venture Maya and will this time be produced by the actress' beau Vignesh Shivan under their Rowdy Pictures production banner.

Touted to be yet another horror film, Connect will see Nayanthara sharing screen space with veteran Tamil actor Sathyaraj for the second time after the 2013 romantic drama Raja Rani. The film will also include veteran Bollywood actor Anupam Kher returning to Tamil cinema once again after the English film Welcome Back Gandhi (2012), which was also released in Tamil. The two-time National Award-winning actor's inclusion in Connect is no doubt a big addition considering he has impressed fans in other Tamil films like V.I.P., Kadhalar Dhinam, Little John and Kuttrapathirikai. Two posters for Connect have been released and one among them shows Nayanthara, while the other is featured on the up-and-coming musical artiste Haniya Nafisa. Below are the two Connect posters:

Connect is the next for director Ashwin Saravanan after he delivered the smash nationwide box office hit Game Over starring leading Bollywood actress Taapsee Pannu in the lead role. It will no doubt be fascinating to witness what the duo are cooking together with their Connect, with Vignesh Shivan coming on board also the producer yet another major USP. Connect is being written by Ashwin Saravanan and Kaavya Ramkumar and features a talented technical team on board among whom include cinematographer Manikantan Krishnamachary, editor Richard Kevin, music director Prithvi Chandrasekhar, art directors Sreeraman and Siva Sankar, followed by costume designs by Anu Vardhan and Kavitha J.
