Leading South Indian actress Nayanthara's next big film, the tentatively titled Lady Superstar 75, has now made a big casting addition, the producers of the film announced on Thursday, April 6. The upcoming film, which is being directed by Nilesh Krishnaa, a former assistant director of Shankar and produced by Zee Studios in association with NAAD Studios and Trident Arts, has now added leading hero Jai to the star cast. Jai's inclusion to the Lady Superstar 75 star cast has incidentally come on his birthday today and is a reunion for the actor with Nayanthara after they shared screen space in the 2013 blockbuster, Raja Rani.
Announcing Jai joining the cast of Nayanthara's Lady Superstar 75, Zee Studios South posted a picture of the actor, while also sharing a famous dialogue from their Raja Rani. The production banner tweeted, "Sandhoshathula kannu verkudhu’ as we welcome our boy next door on board to our #LadySuperstar75 family. Wishing a very happy birthday to @Actor_jai." Raja Rani, which was a box office blockbuster and also the directorial debut of Atlee, who has since become a powerhouse filmmaker in Tamil cinema, saw Jai and Nayanthara play lovers, who later split due to a few circumstances, with the film also starring Jai and Nazriya in the lead roles.

Lady Superstar 75 was the first film Nayanthara had announced after her marriage to filmmaker-producer Vignesh Shivan on June 9, 2022. The The reigning queen of South Indian cinema also has the tentatively titled Nayanthara 81 being directed by Durai Senthil Kumar, who is best known for Ethir Neechal, Kaaki Sattai, Kodi, and Pattas, and big projects in other languages namely director Alphonse Puthren's Paattu in Malayalam, which will see her sharing screen space with Fahadh Faasil, and her highly-anticipated Bollywood debut, Jawan, opposite Shah Rukh Khan.
