Preparations have been underway over the past few days for the Nadigar Sangam Elections this year with the venue including and the date announced a while back. Announced to take place on June 23 at Sathya Studios of RA Puram at the Dr. MGR Janaki Arts and Science College, the Nadigar Sangam Elections have now been stopped by the Register of Societies of Tamil Nadu, who state the rules of the South Indian Artistes' Association (SIAA) have been violated. Furthermore, investigations have been launched to look into various issues along with a legal notice being issued today ordering the stopping of the election on June 23.

The Nadigar Sangam Elections 2019 will be seeing a battle between Vishal’s Pandavar Ani and the newly formed Swamy Sankardas Ani being led by K. Bhagyaraj. Pandavar Ani also has Nasser, Karthi, Karunas, and Ponvannan, who are being challenged by actors Prashanth, Kutty Padmini and Udhaya and, producer and educationist Dr. Ishari K. Ganesh.
