Blockbuster Tamil film producer Kalaipuli S. Thanu's Naane Varuvean has released in theatres today (September 29) and has fans excited as it marks the reunion of Dhanush under Selvaraghavan's direction and features music by Yuvan Shankar Raja. With the film carrying massive expectations, producer Thanu recently sat down for an exclusive interview with Galatta and shared his thoughts about his latest venture, while also addressing the various requests for an update on his Vaadivaasal coming out under his V Creations banner, which has Suriya in the lead role and is being directed by Vetri Maaran.

Upon being queried about an update for Vaadivaasal, Kalaipuli S. Thanu said, "To tell you the truth, this film will be a crown for the Tamil language, the Tamil people, and Tamil Nadu's culture. Vetri Maaran, who is held in high esteem by the producers, theatre owners, is one who gives happiness to the entire Tamil film industry, and he should be the person who should talk about everything related to the film and not me." When asked if he too is curious about what Vetri Maaran will share with him, "I've made a promise to him that I will not ask him anything because I saw him during the shooting of Asuran and how he shot the film with dengue fever. Tears welled up in my eyes when I saw him putting in so much effort despite his health issues and I told him I'll postpone the release of the film. He then said that he will finish the shooting at all costs since I announced the film's release date. I don't know how to differentiate his dedication and I am amazed."
