Monsoon troubles: Rain stops Enthiran shooting

Incessant rains andstormy weather prevailing in Tamil Nadu has even brought Kollywood to a standstill. Many outdoor shootings have been cancelled including Enthiran’s (also referred to as Endhiran) shooting! The crew was filming effectively in a splendid set designed by art director Sabu Cyril in one of the city’s schools, until heavy rain tattered the sets. Now, they have decided to wait out the rain!

The Enthiran crew held its shooting recently in North Chennai after completing a round of shooting in obscure locations off East Coast Road near Covelong and they might return to the same location to film a few more scenes. After this, they plan to leave for Kulu Manali if Aishwarya Rai is free from the first round of Mani Rathnam’s bilingual.

Well, with all challenges and adversities that the monsoon throws uplike power cuts, inundation, heavy traffic, etc., the only few who seem to be enjoying it are school children (for the leave they get) and Kollywood filmmakers who want to feature heavy rains in their films!

Did we hear anyone suggesting a romantic and "wet" song?! With those lashing raindrops and heavy wind?! Never! Kollywood prefers the "pleasant artificial rain in the sets" which they can control!
