Mohanlal's long awaited film, Ram, has finally resumed after being stalled for over 3 years due to the Covid 19 pandemic. Ram is an upcoming action drama that is directed by Jeethu Joseph of Drishyam fame. The film was officially announced in January 2020 on a grand scale and it was revealed that the film has an International premise. However, in March 2020, Covid 19 pandemic came into effect and since then, the film has been put on hold. Due to various restrictions about travelling to foreign countries, the film's shoot was stalled and in the meantime, Mohanlal and Jeethu Joseph shot and released two quick Malayalam films - Drishyam 2 and 12th Man both of which had direct OTT releases.

Now that the world has started to function with the Covid situation, things are getting back to normal and on that note, the shooting of Ram has also begun. The official announcement about the shoot was made by director Jeethu Joseph yesterday (August 6) through his social media post. Sharing a new poster from the film, Jeethu Joseph wrote, "RAM shoot resumes after 3 years. Need your prayers and support". If reports are to be believed, the shoot has currently resumed in Ernakulam and this schedule will take place for the next 8 - 10 days and details regarding further schedules are awaited.

The upcoming schedules will take place in multiple foreign countries. The makers are said to have planned to shoot in exotic locations around England, Morocco, London, and Tunisia. Produced by Antony Perumbavoor under the banner of Aashirvad Cinemas in association with Abhishek Films and Passion Studios, the film features Trisha as the female lead and has Indrajith Sukumaran, Chandhunadh, in supporting roles. Mohanlal had recently wrapped up the shooting of his debut directorial venture, Barroz: 3D which has got high expectations among the fans and film buffs.
