Mirchi Shiva's next release in Tamil cinema will be Kasethan Kadavulada which is currently in the post production stages. The film is the official remake of the yesteryear classic of the same title and the remake is directed by R Kannan who is known for helming ventures like Jayam Kondan, Ivan Thanthiran, and more. Produced by R Kannan under the banner of Masala Pix, the film has cinematography handled by Prasanna S Kumar, while Raj Pratap has taken care of the music. Leo John Paul and Naan Surya have edited the film that has lyrics penned by Kabilan Vairamuthu. Vaali's lyrics from the original version has been taken for a song in the 2022 film.

The film is about a young man (Mirchi Shiva) joining hands with his cousin (Karunakaran) and friend (Yogi Babu) to steal money from his step mother, played by Urvashi. The official trailer of the film was unveiled yesterday (July 22) and it has opened to a positive response from the audience. The trailer gives us a sneak peek into the world of Kasethan Kadavulada that is filled with wacky and non-realistic characters. Mirchi Shiva seems to have pulled off his casual yet impressive act and his one-liners have the potential to attract the masses. He also strikes a good equation with the rest of the actors.

The trailer has several contemporary references and it looks like director R Kannan has made necessary changes from the original version to suit the taste of the modern day audience. Some of the comedies in the trailer look good while the rest don't land well. Priya Anand plays the female lead in the film that has VTV Ganesh, Manobala, Thalaivaasal Vijay, and Cook with Comali stars Pugazh and Sivaangi in pivotal roles. It has been officially announced that Kasethan Kadavulada will hit the screens in the month of August.
