Mayilsamy son arumainayagam aka anbu reveals how his father passed - Tamil Movie Cinema News

Iconic Tamil actor-comedian Mayilsamy passed away last week on February 19 due to cardiac arrest in Chennai at the age of 57. The news of his death had come as a massive shock to people from all walks of life across Tamil Nadu, including celebrities and personalities, who paid their last respects to the actor at his residence. With many fans still yet to make a recovery from the shock of Mayilsamy's passing, the late actor's son Arumainayagam aka. Anbu interacted with the press in the city on Thursday, February 23, and address the false rumors surrounding his father's death.

Speaking to media persons, Mayilsamy's son Anbu said, "My father finished his dubbing for a film and asked if we could go to the temple for Shivarathiri pooja at a temple in Kelambakkam. I, my father and my mother went and we saw Drums Sivamani sir there. My father and he were talking for sometime and Sivamani sir said that he's doing a musical concert at the Vadapalani temple. My father then joined him later that night and everything was fine late into the night till we left at around 2.45 a.m. When Sivamani sir was leaving, my father asked him whether he'll come along with him to another temple. But, Sivamani sir asked my dad to take rest since he already had heart issues."

Anbu further stated, "We then came back home and me, dad and mom had some dinner together. After dinner, he was watching news for sometime. Around 10 minutes after he finished dinner, my dad said that he was having indigestion. I then gave him some hot water and he went and lied down. I informed my mom to look after him and went to bed. After 10 minutes, my mom came and told me that dad was facing difficulty in breathing. I then took him in our car to a nearby hospital for emergency. By the time we reached the Dasarathapuram junction, he leaned on me and I was a little worried about what to do next since I was also driving the car. I then stopped my vehicle and called for an auto and went to the hospital. Upon arriving there, the doctors examined my father said that he had passed away."

Informing how he still had hope that he can help his father, Anbu said, "I felt that even if he is in a state of coma, they can revive him using CPR in 10-15 minutes or any other method. I didn't know what to do at that time. I then called up Ramachandra Hospital and took my dad there in an ambulance because I still had hope that he was with us. But, when they too did a check up, they declared that he had passed away. This is the actual news. After that, we brought him home and proceeded with the last rituals. But, there are different stories doing the rounds that my father fell unconscious at a tea shop, while another person was saying that he passed away while he was in Tiruvannamalai, and some others stated that he died performing rituals at the temple. What I'm saying now is the actual news. This is what really happened. So, if you're going to post anything, please publish this news."
