Leading South Indian actress Malavika Mohanan is currently one of the most sought after stars after having appeared in Tamil blockbusters like 'Superstar' Rajinikanth's Petta and 'Thalapathy' Vijay's Master. The youth sensation has garnered a massive fan following over the last couple of years after her appearances in both the big star films and will next be seen in two-time National Award-winning actor Dhanush's Maaran, which is in its final stages of filming. In that light, Malavika had also earlier this year announced that her next film in Bollywood is titled Yudhra opposite Siddhant Chaturvedi, with the actress on Sunday revealing that she sustained minor bruises during filming at the shooting spot.

Sharing a couple of pictures of herself and her injury on Instagram, Malavika informed that she is proud of the bruises she received during the shooting of an action sequence in Yudhra. She captioned the photos, "When you are shooting for an action film and bruises start feeling like little scratches after a point", while also adding hashtags like "#yudhra #iloveaction #expressioninphotoismisleading #notadelicatedarling". Fans have been sending their wishes to the actress for her well-being and expressed their hope and excitement for her upcoming projects. Malavika Mohanan made her acting debut in Malayalam in the 2013 film Pattam Pole opposite Dulquer Salmaan, but became a national sensation after she was introduced to audiences in Hindi in acclaimed filmmaker Majid Majidi's Beyond the Clouds in 2017. She landed a role in Malayalam once again in Mammootty's The Great Father before making a major appearance in Rajinikanth's 2019 blockbuster Petta in Tamil. Her role in Petta led to landing a big part as the female lead in Vijay's Master, which released earlier this year and has since become one of the biggest box office hits in Tamil cinema to date. Malavika, who will next be seen opposite Dhanush's Maaran, will be playing an action-oriented role in Yudhra. Being directed by Ravi Udyawar, who had earlier directed Sridevi's 300th film Mom, Yudhra has a story penned by actor Farhan Akhtar and Shridhar Raghavan and is being produced under the Excel Entertainment Production banner, with KGF films fame Ravi Basrur composing the music.
