EXCLUSIVE: Manju Warrier reveals her biggest challenge in Ajith Kumar's Thunivu - WATCH VIDEO!

Manju warrier opens up on her thunivu action scenes ajith kumar h vinoth kanmani - Tamil Movie Cinema News

Ajith Kumar's Thunivu is out in cinemas and is en route to becoming one of the biggest hits in the actor's career. Directed by H. Vinoth, the mass heist action entertainer produced by Boney Kapoor's Bayview Projects LLP banner in association with Zee Studios also features National Award-winning Malayalam actor Manju Warrier as the female lead and is yet another power-packed role for her after Asuran in 2019. With Thunivu taking a fantastic opening, Manju Warrier recently sat down for a candid conversation with National Award-winning film critic Baradwaj Rangan, the Editor-in-Chief of Galatta Plus, to talk about the film, while also opening up on how performing action scenes was a completely new experience for her.

Explaining how using guns in the action scenes was a new adventure for her in films, Manju Warrier said, "I really enjoyed being a part of Thunivu not only because I was getting to play action, but also every activity I have done in every shot in this film has been new. I've never ever done... I'm not a person who holds a gun, who's experienced in using guns. I've not played a character (like that). Maybe I've done one in Pathram, but that was without any other way where she has to take a gun and she's not even shooting in the film. When you talk to her (Kanmani) and she shoots you, that was a first for me. When you watch the film, you will know what all crazy, crazy things I've done. So, I was excited about each and every shot in the film (as it was the first time I was doing so many things) and with different types of guns, and that was very interesting for me."

Recalling her biggest challenge in Thunivu was to look believable in the action sequences, Manju stated, "Initially, I was scared because Ajith sir was known for his action films and H. Vinoth is a very skilled director. I just didn't want to look funny in an action scene with someone like Ajith sir, who looks good while doing action. I just wanted to look convincing and that's what I saw as a challenge and then I thought that challenge was the exciting part of it, and so I decided to work for it."
