Following the massive success of the 'Ponni Nadhi' single, the second song from Mani Ratnam's Ponniyin Selvan is all set to be released and the official announcement on the same has been made. The second single from Ponniyin Selvan is titled 'Chola Chola' and this one will be a war victory song. While 'Ponni Nadhi' was a track that featured Vanthiya Thevan, played by Karthi, this second song 'Chola Chola' will be Chiyaan Vikram (Aditya Karikalan's) number. The poster also features him in a valiant look and the development has garnered wide attention. The new poster carrying the second single details has instantly turned viral on social media.

The song will be released on August 19, Friday, at 6 PM on YouTube and other audio streaming platforms. Ilango Krishnan has penned the lyrics for this special song that has been crooned by Sathya Prakash, VM Mahalingam, and Nakul Abhyankar. In the next two days, we will be listening to another magical number from the legendary A.R.Rahman and an exciting feast awaits fans. Ponniyin Selvan is Mani Ratnam's next directorial venture after Chekka Chivantha Vaanam and this one has been one of his most ambitious projects. Ponniyin Selvan has been made as a two part film and the first part, PS 1 will be hitting the screens on September 30.

The film will be released in 5 languages - Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Kannada, and Hindi. Ponniyin Selvan features Chiyaan Vikram, Jayam Ravi, Karthi, Trisha, and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan in the lead roles while the supporting cast includes the likes of R Sarath Kumar, R Parthiban, Prakash Raj, Rahman, Lal, Jayaram, Aadukalam Kishore, Vikram Prabhu, Prabhu, Aishwarya Lekshmi, Sobhita Dhulipala, Jaya Chitra, Arjun Chidambaram, Mohan Raman, and others. The post theatrical digital streaming rights of Ponniyin Selvan is acquired by Amazon Prime Video for a whopping price.
