Mani Ratnam's Ponniyin Selvan is set for its grand theatrical release on September 30 and we are just 10 days away from witnessing the film on the big screen. The film has got huge expectations among the fans and film buffs and it is expected to take a phenomenal opening at the box office. Bankrolled by Lyca Productions in association with Madras Talkies, the film has music composed by A.R.Rahman whose songs have turned out to be popular among the masses, making the film garner solid traction on social media. That being said, the makers have now released a new making video and this one is the BTS of 'Ratchasa Maamaney' song.

The visuals of 'Ratchasa Maamaney' will feature Karthi and Sobhita Dhulipala dancing along with hundreds of co-dancers and kids. The song has been shot on a grand scale and we get to see the thought process that went behind the making of the song. 'Ratchasa Maamaney' song is a terrific number from A.R.Rahman that is instantly likeable and the song is going to appeal much more along with its visuals. Brinda Master has choreographed the dance moves for the song. In the making video, we see Karthi narrating the experience of shooting for this song, sharing how challenging it was to perform in a single take.

Ponniyin Selvan has been made as a two-part film and the first part will be releasing on September 30. The second part of PS will be out in May or June 2023. The team is expected to start their promotional tour this week and they will be travelling to various cities across the country to spread the word about the film. Ponniyin Selvan features Chiyaan Vikram, Karthi, Jayam Ravi, Trisha, and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan in the lead roles and has Sarath Kumar, Prakash Raj, Jayaram, Prabhu, R Parthiban, Vikram Prabhu, Aishwarya Lekshmi, Ashwin Kakumanu, Sobhita Dhulipala, Mohan Raman, Lal, Rahman, Kishore, Jaya Chitra, Sarah Arjun, and others in important roles.
