A highly respected filmmaker across India, six-time National Award winner Mani Ratnam’s next production venture titled Vaanam Kottattum under his Madras Talkies banner is being directed by Padaiveeran fame director Dhana Sekaran. Vaanam Kottattum has Vikram Prabhu, Madonna Sebastian, Aishwarya Rajesh and Shanthanu Bhagyaraj in the lead roles followed by Sarathkumar, Radhika Sarathkumar, Nandaa and Amitash Pradhan in supporting roles and will see popular singer Sid Sriram making his debut as a composer. With production wrapped up a while back, Madras Talkies had a couple of days back unveiled the title font of the film followed by theVaanam Kottattum first look posters now officially released and can be seen below:

Vaanam Kottattum has its story, screenplay and dialogues penned by Mani Ratnam for whom the film also is the first time in nearly 17 years he is producing a Tamil venture after the 2002 smash success, Five Star, directed by Susi Ganesan. The acclaimed director’s previous production film in Hindi was OK Jaanu in 2017; an official remake of his 2015 superhit, O Kadhal Kanmani. Vaanam Kottattum has cinematography by Preetha Jayaraman, editing done by Sangathamizhan. E followed by art direction by K. Kadhir, lyrics by Siva Ananth, who is also serving as executive producer, choreography by Vijisathish, stunts by 'Stunner' Sam and costume designs by Eka Lakhani of Team E. As for his own upcoming directorial, Mani Ratnam is set to adapt Tamil writer Kalki’s epic novel, Ponniyin Selvan, with ‘Chiyaan’ Vikram, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Jayam Ravi, Karthi, Parthiban and Jayaram at present confirmed in starring roles with the screenplay currently being co-written by actor and writer, Elango Kumaravel, who previously adapted several historical novels as stage plays. Ponniyin Selvan’s production is expected to flag off from December 12 in Thailand for a period of nearly 40 days.
