Mammootty rules hearts, not the country
Refusing all speculations that superstar Mammootty was offered a seat in the Muslim-dominated Malappuram district for the forthcoming Lok Sabha elections (either the Ponnani seat or the Ernakulam Lok Sabha seat), superstar Mammootty said he is too busy with movies to enter politics.
"It is true that many want me to enter politics, but I'm just not interested because I'm very comfortable in the present job I have and my hands are full," Mammootty clarified on Sunday, adding he does not want to rule the country; instead, he wants to rule the hearts of people through his films.
Mammootty is currently shooting for Maya Bazaar in Pollachi, Tamil Nadu. Talking about his latest film Parunthu which received mixed responses from audiences, Mammootty said people might not have liked him playing the character of a ruthless moneylender with negative shades.
