Blockbuster filmmaker Lokesh Kanagaraj shared his excitement on social media over the release of the recent Tamil film, Dada, starring Kavin and Aparna Das in the lead roles produced by S Ambeth Kumar's Olympia Movies banner under debutant Ganesh K Babu's direction. The hit director took to Twitter on Monday, February 13, and extended his wishes to the team stating that he's coming across good things being said about the fun-filled rom-com family entertainer. Dada revolves around the life of a young man, who goes on embrace fatherhood as a single parent, while also trying to set right everything in his life. The film has been released across Tamil Nadu by Red Giant Movies and is yet another in the feather in the cap for the blockbuster production-distribution banner. Dada has been receiving a double thumbs response from fans and is now the second success for Red Giant Movies in 2023 after distributing Ajith Kumar's box office money-spinner, Thunivu, which came out for Pongal.
The outcome of Dada has come off as yet another big win for Kavin after last year's Lift, which although premiered directly on streaming on Disney+ Hotsar, went on to be well-received. Lokesh Kanagaraj, on the other hand, is currently the most trending name in Tamil cinema, after hitting the bulls-eye with each of his films and is now directing his upcoming biggie, LEO, starring 'Thalapathy' Vijay in the lead role under Lalit Kumar's 7 Screen Studio banner. Touted to be a mass action thriller, Leo sees Vijay teaming up with the filmmaker and composer Anirudh Ravichander after their Master in 2021, and is also incidentally a reunion for the Tamil superstar with Trisha Krishnan after 14 years, with the supporting cast featuring the likes of Sanjay Dutt, 'Action King' Arjun, Gautham Menon, Mysskin, Mansoor Ali Khan, Priya Anand, Mathew Thomas, Sandy master to name a notable few.
