Legend Saravanan made his acting debut in Tamil cinema with The Legend that released last month amidst huge buzz. The film took a good opening at the box office and has successfully completed 5 weeks of run in the theatres. The film had a fine run at the box office with the support of the family audiences. Despite opening to mixed reviews from critics, it did not stop the film from its box office performance, thereby emerging as a victory. This being said, the final box office collections of The Legend has now been revealed and here are the deets.

As per the information from official sources close to the unit, The Legend has collected around 45 crores at the box office from its five weeks of run in the theatres and this is indeed a huge number, serving as a profitable venture for the people in the trade. An additional update is that the deal for satellite and digital OTT rights have also been signed for a whopping price. If reports are to be believed, the satellite rights of The Legend have been sold to a leading player for a record price of Rs.20 crores, while the digital streaming rights are expected to be acquired for a price of Rs.25 crores.

The Legend is directed by popular ad filmmakers duo, JD - Jerry who have also made films like Whistle and Ullasam. Produced by New Saravana Stores Productions on a grand scale, the film had music composed by Harris Jayaraj whose songs turned out to be highly popular among the masses. Popular Bollywood heroine Urvashi Rautela made her Tamil cinema debut with The Legend, while Geethika Tiwari played the other female lead. The film featured an ensemble supporting cast that included experienced names like Prabhu, Suman, Nasser, Latha, Robo Shankar, Singam Puli, Mayilsamy, and others.
