More than 50 celebrities were honoured by Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J. Jayalalitha at the centenary celebrations of Indian cinema.
Kamal Haasan, Rajinikanth, Trisha Krishnan, Meena, Simran, Manorama, S.S Rajendran, Manorama, M.N Rajam, Rajashree, Sharada, Kanchana, Jamuna, Krishakumari, Sowcar Janaki, Jayaprada, Jayasudha, Sivakumar and Vivek were the personalities honoures in actors category.
Dorectors J. Mahendran, C.V Rajendran and P. Vasu, Singers L.R Eswari, M.S Rajeshwari and Jamuna Rani with music-violinist M. Ramasubramaniam, Illayaraaja, Producers AVM Saravanan, RB Chaudhary, Ramesh Prasad and Venkat Ram Reddy were also honored.
The enitre Tamil industry made their presence felt for this grand occassion.
