The second single from Mani Ratnam's Ponniyin Selvan will be out tomorrow (August 19) evening at 6 PM and the fans are eagerly looking forward to hearing the next track from this historical epic. A.R.Rahman delivered a super hit first single in the form of 'Ponni Nadhi' which has already found a place in the playlists of music lovers and it is now time for the second single to take control. The second single from PS 1 is called 'Chola Chola' and it has lyrics penned by Ilango Krishnan. Sathya Prakash, VM Mahalingam, and Nakul Abhyankar have crooned their voices for this A.R.Rahman musical.

The announcement about the track was made yesterday and through this an interesting revelation has been made. Ponniyin Selvan is a pan Indian film and on that note, all the songs will have 5 different versions - Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam, and Hindi. The Kannada version of 'Chola Chola' song has been crooned by Ravi Basrur, the music director of the sensational blockbusters KGF and KGF 2. Ravi Basrur is known for his powerful scores and songs in the KGF franchise and his energetic voice is sure to elevate the intensity of 'Chola Chola' track. This development has garnered wide attention among the fans and has made them look forward to listening to the song.

The Kannada version of 'Chola Chola' has lyrics penned by Jayant Kaikini. 'Chola Chola' will be a celebration song after Aditya Karikalan (played by Chiyaan Vikram) and his clan win a massive war. Ponniyin Selvan features Chiyaan Vikram, Karthi, Jayam Ravi, Trisha, and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan in the lead roles and has Sarath Kumar, Parthiban, Prakash Raj, Prabhu, Lal, Jayaram, Vikram Prabhu, Rahman, Kishore, Jaya Chitra, Mohan Raman, Aishwarya Lekshmi, Sobhita Dhulipala, Arjun Chidambaram, and others in important roles. Ponniyin Selvan 1 is scheduled to hit the screens on September 30 and a grand release is on the cards.
