The buzz is at an all-time high for the release of KGF: Chapter 2, which will open in theatres worldwide on April 14. Directed by Prashanth Neel and produced by Vijay Kirgandur's Hombale Films, the upcoming Kannada action film is coming out as a pan-Indian release in Tamil, Hindi, Malayalam, and Telugu languages, in line with the 2018 original KGF: Chapter 1. 'Rocking Star' Yash is reprising his role as Raja Krishnappa Bhairya aka. Rocky Bhai in KGF 2 and the film is being released in Tamil Nadu by reputed production-distribution banner Dream Warrior Pictures. With the date nearing, all full-scale preparations are underway to ensure the film turns out to be a grand success and the makers on Wednesday finally released the much-awaited 'Agilam Nee' song video, which gives a glimpse into the relationship between Archana Jois as Shanthamma, Rocky's mother and Anmol Vijay as the young Rocky.

Ravi Basrur has composed the music for KGF: Chapter 2 after his songs and stellar background score turned out to be major USPs for the first film. Featuring vocals by Ananya Bhat and lyrics written by Madhurakavi, the 'Agilam Nee' song featured in the Tamil version of the highly-anticipated KGF 2 also shows an extended preview of the mother-son relationship between the Shanthamma and Rocky characters and is a major aspect of the film. One of the main reasons for the astounding success of KGF: Chapter 1 was the mother-son sentiment, which propelled the film towards a massive victory.
KGF: Chapter 2 has Yash paired opposite Srinidhi Shetty once again, with Bollywood superstar Sanjay Dutt cast as Adheera after the character was teased earlier in the first film. The battle between Rocky and Adheera is set to be one of the biggest attractions and the makers have been building plenty of hype among the fans with the trailer, promos, and stills. Furthermore, KGF 2 will see Malavika Avinash, Anant Nag, Archana Jois, Vasishta N Simha, Avinash BS, Achyuth Kumar, Balakrishna reprising their roles from the 2018 original, while Prakash Raj, Raveena Tandon and Vada Chennai fame Saran Shakthi are the new additions to the cast.
