Thalapathy Vijay is currently busy shooting for his next, Beast which is directed by Nelson Dilipkumar of Doctor fame. Produced by Sun Pictures, the film has music composed by Anirudh Ravichander and features Pooja Hegde as the female lead. Beast is a stylish action entertainer that has Selvaraghavan playing the antagonist and Yogi Babu, VTV Ganesh, Redin Kingsley, Aparna Das, and others in pivotal roles. The film is inching closer towards completion and the team is left with a few more weeks of shoot.

Following the completion of Beast, Vijay will be teaming up with director Vamshi Paidipally for his next, Thalapathy 66 which is currently in the pre-production stages. Director Vamshi is said to be giving final touches to the script. Thalapathy 66 is produced by Dil Raju under the banner of Sri Venkateswara Creations and it will be made as a Tamil - Telugu bilingual that will also have a simultaneous dubbed release in other languages. The makers are yet to announce the female lead of the project and rumours were rife that Keerthy Suresh is the front-runner to play the love interest of Vijay in the film.

However, the news seems to be false. Keerthy Suresh, in one of her recent interviews to a Telugu media house, denied of being a part of Thalapathy 66. When she was asked if she is a part of the Vijay starrer, Keerthy replied, "No no. I am not doing". The clipping of Keerthy Suresh's clarification about Thalapathy 66 has been doing rounds on social media since last night. Keerthy Suresh has already acted with Vijay in two of his films - Bairavaa and Sarkar. It looks like we will have to wait for a few more weeks for the formal announcement on the cast and crew details of Thalapathy 66.

According to reports, Thalapathy 66 will be an emotional family entertainer and it is going to be refreshing to see Vijay in a film of that style. For now, check out Keerthy Suresh's denial video about acting in Thalapathy 66 here:
