Kaun Pravin Tambe? releasing on the OTT platform Disney+Hotstar will be made available to watch from April 1 and has popular Bollywood actor Shreyas Talpade in the titular character, who will be seen bringing Tambe’s cricketing journey to life. The cricketer from Mumbai showcased his extraordinary skills in the city's club cricket circles before getting his big breakthrough during the IPL auction where he was spotted by Rahul Dravid, who was in need of a leg spinner. The leg-spinner was 41 when he made his big debut in IPL for Rajasthan Royals in 2013. Here is the official statement by Disney+Hotstar on their twitter account where they announced the film's release along with a caption that read, ""Bas ek aur over" karte karte duniya ki sabse badi league tak pahunch gaye! In his three seasons, Tambe played an unforgettable role with the ball. Once his time with the Royals was over, the bowler went on to represent the Gujarat Lions, Sunrisers Hyderabad, and Kolkata Knight Riders. In the 33 matches he played in the IPL, Tambe picked up a total of 28 wickets during his seasoned career. Kaun Pravin Tambe? is about the extraordinary journey of cricketer Pravin Tambe, a right-armed leg spinner, who made his biggest cricket league debut by entering the IPL (Indian Premier League) at the age of 41, not having played any international or even first-class cricket before that. A modern-day fable of an underdog who fought against his destiny and triumphed over it.

Directed by Jayprad Desai, the film stars Shreyas Talpade in the lead alongside Ashish Vidyarthi, Parambrata Chaterjee and Anjali. It is produced by Fox Star Studios, Friday Filmworks and Bootroom Sports Production. This is Shreyas Talpade's second time taking on the role of a cricketer. He was previously seen playing a cricketer in 2005's Iqbal.
