Karunaas: Rising career-graph!
When comedian Karunaas donned the lead role in the movie Dindugal Sarathi, the Tamil remake of a Malayalam movie, naysayers were plenty. But the box office returns of the movie silenced them all. So now the actor has a string of films lined up in which he will once again play the comic hero! Shooting is on for the quaintly-titled Ambasamudhirathil Ambani, but that’s not all.�
Talking about the success of�his hero image, Karunaas says, “I actually wanted to start a restaurant, that did not take off. Then I tried my hand at film distribution; that fell through as well. But I did not let that get me down. I kept on working and then Dindugal Sarathi happened. It was like God’s answer to my prayers.�Now I’m doing Ambasamudirathil Ambani (to be directed by Ram of Kattradhu Thamizh fame and debutant Manohar) and�have a few more movies in hand. I’m really excited and hoping for the best.”
