Earlier this morning (April 4), Karthi took to his official Twitter page to express his admiration for horses. Karthi mentioned that he learnt horse riding for Kaashmora which was helmed by Gokul. The Paruthiveeran actor also added that many of his horse-riding dreams came true while shooting for his upcoming epic drama, Ponniyin Selvan, sharing his special relationship with horses. Sharing an adorable picture with a horse, Karthi tweeted, "I have forever been fascinated by horses. While I learnt horse riding for #Kaashmora, I lived all that I dreamt of, during the filming of #PonniyinSelvan. Can’t describe the exhilaration when you connect with the horse and it breathes and pulsates with you!".

The picture has been doing good rounds on social media since this morning and this one has made the fans look forward to seeing Karthi riding horses in Ponniyin Selvan. Karthi will be seen playing the character of Vandiya Thevan in Ponniyin Selvan and he has many exciting sequences with horses in the film. Vandiya Thevan is an iconic character in Ponniyin Selvan and it is going to be interesting to see how Karthi has aced the character. Legendary filmmaker Mani Ratnam is currently busy with the post-production works of Ponniyin Selvan which is happening in full swing at various places.

Ponniyin Selvan is being made as a two-part film and the first part will be releasing in theatres on September 30, 2022. PS features Chiyaan Vikram, Karthi, Jayam Ravi, Trisha, and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan in the lead roles, while the supporting cast includes Vikram Prabhu, Jayaram, Prabhu, Prakash Raj, Mohan Raman, Aishwarya Lekshmi, Sobhita Dhulipala, Ashwin Kakumanu, Arjun Chidambaram, and others. Produced by Lyca Productions in association with Madras Talkies, Ponniyin Selvan has music composed by A.R.Rahman and has cinematography handled by Ravi Varman.

Apart from Ponniyin Selvan, Karthi has two other films in his kitty - Viruman with director Muthaiya and Sardar with PS Mithran.
