'Ulaganayagan' Kamal Haasan's Vikram is out in theatres worldwide and has taken a phenomenal start everywhere as fans and critics have unanimously declared the Lokesh Kanagaraj directorial as a spectacular film that should not be missed in cinemas. The mass action thriller featuring music by Anirudh Ravichander and also starring 'Makkal Selvan' Vijay Sethupathi as the antagonist and Malayalam superstar Fahadh Faasil as a cop, including a roaring cameo from Suriya, had only increased the interest among fans in the hopes of a bundle of acting talent in display on the big screen alongside Kamal Haasan, who has produced the film with R. Mahendran under the Raaj Kamal Films International banner. Vikram, which has been riding on massive excitement ever since the star cast featuring the lead trio was announced, initially had two other choices for the role of Vijay Sethupathi's character Santhanam

Popular Tamil choreographer-actor Jaffer Sadiq, best known for playing Narikutty in the 'Love Panna Uttranum' segment directed by Vignesh Shivan in the 2020 anthology web series Paava Kadhaigal, is seen in Vikram as a member of the Vetti Vagaiyara gang led by Vijay Sethupathi's character Santhanam. In that light, Jaffer, during an exclusive interview with Galatta, revealed that there were a couple of other big names considered for the character Santhanam before Vijay Sethupathi had come on board. Jaffer revealed that Prabhu Deva and Raghava Lawrence were the names that were discussed to be cast in Vikram alongside Kamal Haasan.

As praises continue to pour in from everywhere for the entire cast of Vikram, Vijay Sethupathi has once again aced his role and came out with flying colors with his high-voltage performance. The film is yet another feather in the hat for the National Award winner and he has left fans talking with his thunderous act and is the second time in a venture helmed by Lokesh Kanagaraj after the 2021 box office money-spinner Master starring 'Thalapathy' Vijay in the lead role.
