'Ulaganayagan' Kamal Haasan has been hosting the smash hit reality TV show Bigg Boss Tamil on Vijay Television ever since it began airing in 2017. The show, which has seen four successful editions, is currently in its fifth year, with the response so far being nothing short of staggering as in line with the previous seasons on both Vijay TV and its streaming partner DisneyPlus Hotstar. That said, Kamal Haasan suffered a major setback after he tested positive for Covid-19 upon his return from the U.S. to promote his fashion label 'House of Khaddar' last month. The actor-politician was admitted to the Sri Ramachandra Medical Centre, Porur, Chennai, on November 22 and was discharged on December 4.
Now, Kamal Haasan has made his big comeback to Bigg Boss Tamil season 5 as the host after actress Ramya Krishnan stepped in for the duties during the interim last week. In the first Bigg Boss 5 promo for Saturday released by Vijay TV, we see Kamal greeting fans with folded hands and extending his gratitude to everyone for their love and wishes. He goes on to present his views after watching the events of the ongoing season of the show and informs audiences that all contestants in the Bigg Boss Tamil 5 house are playing their own individual game and are not forming any teams as was witnessed in the previous seasons. Kamal Haasan states that each contestant has his/her own agenda to emerge as the winner of Bigg Boss Tamil season 5 and tells viewers that there's more to come later in tonight's episode.
