The big news of this week is here! Udhayanidhi Stalin will be starring in a new film under the production of Kamal Haasan's Raaj Kamal Films International. Yes! Kamal Haasan's RKFI will be bankrolling a new project that will have Udhay playing the lead and the official announcement regarding the same was made yesterday (July 25) evening in Chennai. Udhayanidhi Stalin's production and distribution company, Red Giant Movies, recently completed 15 years in the film industry and a grand event was organised yesterday to celebrate the occasion. Kamal Haasan was one of the chief guests of the event and during the occasion, the big reveal was made.

The announcement poster was unveiled at the event and Udhay took to his official Twitter page to express his excitement about the same. Sharing the pictures from the event, Udhayanidhi Stalin tweeted (in Tamil), "15 வருட @RedGiantMovies_ -ன் சினிமா பயணத்தை கொண்டாடும் விதமாக உடன் பங்காற்றியவர்களை நேற்று சென்னையில் நடைபெற்ற நிகழ்ச்சியில் கௌரவித்தோம். @RKFI தயாரிக்கும் அடுத்த படத்தின் கதை நாயகனாகும் பெருமைமிகு வாய்ப்பை எனக்கு வழங்கி, அதற்கான அறிவிப்பை வெளியிட்ட @ikamalhaasan சாருக்கு நன்றி". It is indeed going to be exciting to see Udhayanidhi Stalin act under the prestigious banner of Raaj Kamal Films International.

The makers are yet to formally announce the director of this biggie and the rest of the cast is also yet to be known. Udhayanidhi Stalin currently has three films which are in different stages of production - Maamannan with Mari Selvaraj, Kalagathalaivan with Magizh Thirumeni, and Kannai Nambathey with Mu Maran. On the other hand, Raaj Kamal Films International also has an exciting lineup of films in the pipeline. Kamal Haasan will be producing the highly anticipated Sivakarthikeyan starrer, directed by Rajkumar Periasamy of Rangoon fame. Sai Pallavi will be playing the female lead in this film that is expected to go on floors very soon. More details are awaited.
