Ace filmmaker Shankar is celebrating his birthday today (August 17) and wishes have been pouring in from all sides for the talented filmmaker. What came as a surprise to the fans was a birthday wish tweet from Ulaganayagan Kamal Haasan. Yes! The legendary actor took to his official Twitter page to share his heartfelt birthday wishes to Shankar and in his tweet, the Vikram actor also indirectly hinted at the resumption. Kamal mentioned that both of them would join together to create more achievements, hinting on making Indian 2 a massive hit.

After a long and patient wait, Kamal Haasan has finally broken silence on the highly anticipated political drama and it looks like the film is all set to go on floors by the end of this month or early next month. Kamal Haasan's tweet read, "‘இந்தியன்’ என்பதில் பெருமிதம் கொள்வோம்; இணைந்தே இன்னும் பல சாதனைகள் செய்வோம்! பிரமாண்ட திரைப்படங்களால் இந்தியாவையே திரும்பிப் பார்க்கச் செய்த இயக்குனர் @shankarshanmugh அவர்களுக்கு இனிய பிறந்தநாள் வாழ்த்துக்கள்". The tweet has gone viral among the fans and has made them look forward to further developments on the mega biggie.

Kajal Aggarwal who plays the female lead in Indian 2 had revealed in one of her previous interviews that she would be joining the shoot of the Kamal Haasan starrer from September 13. Indian 2 features Priya Bhavani Shankar, Rakul Preet Singh, Siddharth, Delhi Ganesh, Bobby Simha and others in important roles. Produced by Lyca Productions in association with Red Giant Movies, Indian 2 will have music composed by rockstar Anirudh Ravichander who delivered a cracker of an album with Vikram, his first outing with Kamal Haasan. Apart from Indian 2, Shankar has two other projects in his pipeline - RC 15 with Ram Charan and the Hindi adaptation of Anniyan with Ranveer Singh.

RC 15, a Telugu - Tamil bilingual is nearing completion and the shoot is expected to be wrapped up soon. Details regarding the Anniyan remake are yet to be known.
