'Rockstar' Anirudh Ravichander is on a roll and is one of the most sought-after composers in Indian cinema currently attached to several big projects among which include his Bollywood debut Jawan starring Shah Rukh Khan, the Telugu venture NTR 30 with Jr. NTR, followed by Tamil ventures like 'Superstar' Rajinikanth's Jailer and Thalaivar 170, 'Thalapathy' Vijay's LEO, and the highly-anticipated Indian 2 starring 'Ulaganayagan' Kamal Haasan under Shankar's direction. Production on the sequel of Indian has been progressing at a steady pace in Chennai over the past few days and reports are now doing the rounds in certain sections of the media stating Anirudh will be re-using music from the 1996 cult classic blockbuster for the upcoming film, which were composed by Academy Award winner A. R. Rahman.

According to reports, director Shankar had sought A. R. Rahman's permission to use the music he had composed for Indian in Indian 2, with 'Oscar Nayagan' giving his nod. The exciting news has left fans happy, who will be getting a chance to revisit A. R. Rahman's iconic score from Indian in the upcoming sequel, while also listen to what Anirudh himself is coming out with. Reports further state Anirudh has begun work on the music for Indian 2 and it now remains to be seen what the team will treating fans to soon. Fans will known that Anirudh had blended 'Isaignaani' Ilaiyaraaja's music for Kamal Haasan's 2022 box office blockbuster Vikram and they will be hoping for something along the lines in Indian 2 as well next.
Jointly being produced by Lyca Productions and Red Giant Movies banners, Indian 2 is expected to come out in theatres this Diwali in November. The film will see Kamal Haasan sharing screen space with Kajal Aggarwal, Priya Bhavani Shankar, Rakul Preet Singh, Siddharth, Bobby Simha, veteran actors Delhi Ganesh, Gulshan Grover, and former cricketer Yograj Singh (Yuvraj Singh's father) among others in key roles.
