It was already revealed a while back that John Abraham and Emraan Hashmi are teaming up to play the lead roles in Sanjay Gupta’s upcoming gangster-drama, Mumbai Saga. Ever since fans have been wondering who would be roped in as the leading lady and now a leading daily reports saying that it will be none other than Kajal Aggarwal! The film went on floors on Tuesday and it mars the comeback of Sanjay to this genre six years after Shootout At Wadala. Talking to the leading daily the director confirmed that Kajal will be joining the sets from today.
“The most important thing is that my gangster films often also have strong female characters. This character starts off as being John’s girlfriend, and then becomes his wife. So I needed an actress who couls play a 17-year-old college girl, a young wife, and then a strong woman in her 30s. I’m an admirer of Kajal’s work, she looks lovely and has a great screen presence. I’m glad we’re collaborating on this film,” the director told the leading daily.
The director also confirmed to the daily that Emraan will have no pair in this film. This news has obviously made fans happy as they would be seeing John and Kajal paired up for the first time together. Other cast members include Jackie Shroff, Suniel Shetty, Prateik Babbar, Gulshan Grover, and Rohit Roy.
