The residents in the Pallikaranai area in Chennai were in for a huge shock last month after a woman named Sandhya from the locality was found murdered in a gruesome manner.
She was later revealed to be the wife of Tamil film producer and director, Balakrishnan, who helmed the 2010 film, Kadhal Ilavasam, after which he went back to working as an assistant director.
After Sandhya’s body was found cut to pieces at a garbage dump in Chennai, a police investigation was carried out based on a tattoo on the deceased lady’s hand.
The police investigation eventually went on to reveal that Balakrishnan and Sandhya had filed for a divorce with their case pending in the court after a misunderstanding between the two. It is further learnt that she had become friendly with another man after which her husband had murdered her. As of now, the police are looking for the rest of the body parts that were disposed off by Balakrishnan.
