After bagging the television rights of Ilayathalapathy Vijay's blockbuster film Thuppaki, Vijay TV has now brought the rights of another most anticipated film, Kadal. Gemini Film Circuit, who hold the distribution rights of both the films have sold it as a package for an undisclosed price, which is expected to be a huge amount. Kadal is directed and produced by Mani Ratnam and music is composed by AR Rahman. The film stars debutants Gautham Karthik and Thulasi in the lead roles with Arjun and Arvind Swamy playing pivotal roles. Tollywood actor-producer Lakshmi Manchu makes her Kollywood debut in this film with an important role. Vijay TV has started bagging big movies off-lately, Vijay's 2012 hit film Nanban being one of them.
