A film that has been shrouded in utmost mystery yet one that has raised massive curiosity ever since it was announced is the upcoming psychological thriller film, Joker, based on the DC Comics character of the same name.
Distributed by Warner Bros. Pictures and directed by The Hangover films fame Todd Phillips, Joker stars Joaquin Phoenix as Arthur Fleck, who eventually transitions into the 'Clown Prince Of Gotham' followed by iconic Hollywood actor Robert De Niro, Zazie Beetz, Frances Conroy, Marc Maron, Bill Camp, Glenn Fleshler, Shea Whigham, Brett Cullen, Douglas Hodge and Josh Pais in vital roles with the film announced to this screens in the US as well as in India on October 4, 2019.
The premise of Joker has been described to be as Joaquin Phoenix as Arthur Fleck playing a “failed stand-up comedian in 1981” who then “turns to a life of crime and chaos in Gotham City” while gradually “rising up to become a frightening legend”.
