John Wick: Chapter 4 is an upcoming neo-noir action thriller film that is serving as the direct sequel to 2019's John Wick Chapter 3: Parabellum, as well as the fourth installment in the John Wick film series. Directed by Chad Stahelski and based on characters created by Derek Kolstad, the film is produced by Stahelski under the banner of 87North Productions, Basil Iwanyk under the banner of Thunder Road Pictures, and Erica Lee. It will star Keanu Reeves returning as the eponymous assassin along with Laurence Fishburne, Ian McShane, and Lance Reddick reprising their roles as well. Additionally, Donnie Yen, Bill Skarsgard, Hiroyuki Sanada, and Scott Adkins will also be featured in the action flick.
Lionsgate recently released the first official teaser trailer for the fourth film at the San Diego Comic-Con. The new teaser trailer rejoins the feared hitman as he is called on for another mission by the Bowery King. The sneak peek shows that John has not lost a single step as he is seen battling people with everything from his bare knuckles to handguns to nunchaku. John Wick seems to be leaving no stone unturned as he continues his fight against the most brutal organization in the world, The Table. But this time, Baba Yaga is returning with exhilarating more action, drama, and blood.
The John Wick franchise has been going strong ever since 2014 when Reeves first donned the role of a former hitman who is brought back into the criminal underworld after Russian gangsters break into his house and murder his puppy Daisy who was a gift from his recently demised wife. Since then there has been no looking back for John as he is engulfed back into the world of crime.
John Wick: Chapter 4 is scheduled to release in theaters next year on 24 March 2023 and the makers of the popular franchise have already planned out the fifth installment as well.
