Speaking to Etimes a while back, Kratika shared that she was not "mentally prepared to have a baby" during the first 5-6 years of marriage. She said, "All this while I was working and had my commitments so there was never a question of starting a family. It's only when I got a little free and I had time in hand, I started thinking of starting a family. During the first 5-6 years of marriage, I was not mentally prepared to have a baby. It is very important to first prepare your self that you can handle the responsibilities and only then you should go ahead with it. When you are a working woman and when you become pregnant you know that you will have to give your full time to the baby and you will be away from work so for that you need to be mentally prepared."

On the work front, Kratika Sengar became a household name after starring in serials like Kasautii Zindagii Kay and Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi, which made a youth sensation across the nation. She later went on to be cast in lead roles in shows like Jhansi Ki Rani, Punar Vivah, Service Wali Bahu, and Kasam Tere Pyaar Ki. Kratika's last role was a cameo appearance in 2021 on the Hindi-Punjabi show Choti Sarrdaarni
