Leading Tamil actor Jayam Ravi has announced on Saturday that he will be joining hands with director M. Rajesh for a new film. The blockbuster actor shared the news on social media and wrote, "Looking forward to work with this great team". He also shared the news after the popular production and distribution banner Screen Scene Media Private Limited announced the news along with a caption to push the news which read, "Happiness is announcing our next big combo!! Our very own Jayam Ravi directed by Rajesh. And yeah!! It's a Harris Jayaraj musical!! @actor_jayamravi @rajeshmdirector @jharrisjayaraj #stormisbrewing #staytunedtoknowmore"

Rajesh M, who is known for his hit films 'Bose Engira Bhaskaran' starring Arya and Siva Manasula Sakthi with Jiiva, will be teaming up with Jayam Ravi for the first time. Their combo has already attracted a lot of attention as the filmmaker has often shown his expertise in writing comedy and it will once again be refreshing to witness Jayam Ravi in such a role. The untitled venture will also create a lot of curiosity among fans as it includes chart-buster composer Harris Jayaraj and his inclusion in the project is no doubt a major USP.

Apart from his upcoming film with M. Rajesh, Jayam Ravi has a stellar lineup ahead that includes Mani Ratnam's Ponniyin Selvan: I, which has him portraying the role of Arulmozhi Varman, who later becomes the Chola Emperor Raja Raja Chola. Lyca Productions and Mani Ratnam's Madras Talkies have jointly produced the epic historical fiction magnum opus and have announced that it will hit screens on September 30. He will be seen alongside A-list actors Karthi, Vikram, Trisha, and Aishwarya Rai. Some other big films for Jayam Ravi include Jana Gana Mana opposite Taapsee Pannu under Endrendrum Punnagai fame I. Ahmed's direction and Bhoolagam director Kalyan's Agilan with Priya Bhavani Shankar.
