Jayam Ravi is a popular actor who recently acted in the blockbuster hit film Ponniyin Selvan 2. He played the important role of Arulmozhi varman in the Magnum Opus of Mani Ratnam which revolved around the Chola dynasty. The next film of the actor that is set to release in theatres is titled Iraivan. The film will see the reunion of the hit on-screen pair of Jayam Ravi and Nayanthara after Thani Oruvan. The film is to be directed by I Ahmed who previously made the legal drama Manithan and the fell-good entertainer Endrendrum Punnagai. The makers of the film have now released an exciting update about the film on social media.
Jayam Ravi revealed the release date with an exciting new poster. The poster shows Jayam Ravi and Nayanthara facing opposite sides with a long knife in between them which reflects another shot of the actor. The versatile actor shared the update saying "Iraivan will surprise you with incredible theatrical experiences across four languages from August 25." The film is to release in Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam and Kannada.

Iraivan is the next release for the director after six years as his previous project with Jayam Ravi titles Jana Gana Mana was put on hold. Now, the production house bank-rolling the film, Passion Studios have released an exciting update about the film. The film will have music composed by Yuvan Shankar Raja and the OTT Streaming rights of the film in bagged by Netflix.
The recent project of the makers of Iraivan, Passion Studios, is the Siddharth starrer film Takker that is set to release in Tamil and Telugu on June 9. The actor also has an exciting upcoming film titled Siren where he is set to share screen space with Keerthy Suresh for the first time and will be directed by Anthony Bhagyaraj.
