The grand finales of the Indian cinema centenary celebrations ended in style at he Nehru Stadium in Chennai yesterday.President Pranab Mukherjee was the chief guest of honour along with Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J. Jayalalithaa, Governor Konijeti Rosaiah, Kerala Chief Minister Oommen Chandy, Karnataka Minister for Infrastructure Development and Information Santosh Lad. As many as 41 legends from 12 film industries including Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam, Hindi, Bengali, Gujarati, Marathi, Punjabi, Odiya, Assamese and Bhojpuri, were honoured.

Tamil: Director Balanchander, music composer MS Vishwanathan, AVM Saravanan and Vyjyanthimala.

Telugu: Anjali Devi, K. Vishwanath, K Raghavendra Rao, Lakshmi Naryana Sattiraju.

Malayalam: Madhu, Adoor Gopalakrishnan, Mammooty, Mohanalal and Kunchako Boban.

Kannada: Ambareesh, BS Dwarakesh, Ravichandran, Veeranna, Bharati Vishnuvardhan and Parvathamma Rajkumar.

Hindi: Amitabh Bachchan, Sridevi, Rekha, Ramesh Sippy, Randhir Kapoor and Javed Akhtar.

Marathi: Ramesh Deo and Seema Deo.

Bengali: Aparna Sen and Gautam Ghosh.

Others: Preeti Saproo (Punjabi), Utham Mahanthy (Odiya) and Manoj Tewari (Bhojpuri).
