Suriya's next release as an actor in Tamil cinema will be Vanangaan, the Bala directorial which has got huge expectations among the fans and film buffs. After a complete misfire in Varmaa, director Bala is back in the game with Vanangaan that has Suriya and Krithi Shetty of Uppena fame in the lead roles. The film is said to be in Bala's zone, having the trademark elements that one would expect in his movie. Both Suriya and Krithi are said to have got challenging roles to play in the film and an exciting treat indeed awaits fans. Around 34 days of shoot took place in Kanyakumari with Suriya and Krithi Shetty and the next schedule is expected to resume soon.

The film has music composed by GV Prakash Kumar who has already worked with Suriya in Soorarai Pottru, delivering a classic hit album. The successful duo will now reunite for Vanangaan and the fans are eagerly looking forward to the album. That being said, GV Prakash took to his official Twitter page this evening to share a surprise update on the film, taking the fans by delight. GV Prakash mentioned that the song recording process is currently on, assuring that an exciting treat is on the way for the fans. This film is produced by Suriya under the banner of 2D Entertainment and has cinematography handled by Balasubramaniem. The film will also have a Telugu dubbed release and the Telugu version is titled Achaludu. The film which has Mamitha Baiju in a pivotal role has editing by Sathish Suriya and art direction by Mayapandi. Suriya recently began shooting for his untitled next with director Siva and the project is tentatively called Suriya 42. Produced by Studio Green on a grand scale, the film features Disha Patani as the female lead and has music composed by Devi Sri Prasad.
