Soorarai Pottru recently made history by bagging five National Awards, including best feature film, best actor for Suriya, best actress for Aparna Balamurali, best screenplay (Kongara and Shalini Ushadevi) and best background score for G.V. Prakash Kumar. The composer is over the moon with this win as it is his first National Award.

But this has not slowed down his commitment towards his future projects. Among these projects is the Hindi remake of Soorarai Pottru. The composer gave an insight into the soundtrack and background score of the upcoming movie to fans on social media saying he has finished recording three songs for the Hindi remake.

Taking to his official Twitter handle, he shared the current state of his work. He said, "Finished recording three songs for #sooraraipottru Hindi remake . Will be a completely fresh album with new tunes and songs. And new bgscore … super charged about it … @Sudha_Kongara @akshaykumar @Suriya_offl ". Check it out:

Soorarai Pottru revolves around Nedumaaran Rajangam or Maara, played by Suriya, who sets out to make the common man fly and in the process takes on the world’s most capital-intensive industry with the help of his family, friends, and sheer willpower. The film’s story was partly inspired by events from the life of Air Deccan founder Captain G R Gopinath. Since it is going to be remade, we can expect the same story from its Hindi counterpart, although we cannot expect something so grand as the recent National Award winner.
