After a long and patient wait, GV Prakash Kumar's Jail will finally hit the screens very soon and the film buffs are eagerly looking forward to witnessing the film on the big screen. The financial hurdles surrounding the film were sorted out recently and leading producer and distributor KE Gnanavel Raja acquired the theatrical distribution rights of the film. Jail will be released in theatres across the globe through the banner of Studio Green. Having said that, a new update on Jail has now surfaced on social media. The latest exciting development is that Jail has been censored with a U/A certificate by the CBFC Panel.

The U/A certification is for the intense/violent (police brutality) scenes that will be seen in the film. This update has indeed confirmed that the film is close to its release and we can expect the announcement on the film's release anytime soon. Jail is expected to be an important outing for GV Prakash, the actor, and it looks like this film will bring out the actor inside him with flying colours. GV Prakash has also garnered good attention as a music director as he has delivered three super hit numbers - 'Kaathodu Kaathanen', 'Pathu Kaasu', and the recently released 'Nagarodi'.

Jail is directed by the acclaimed filmmaker Vasanthabalan and he seems to have got an important story to tell. Produced by Sridharan Mariathasan under the banner of Krikes Cine Creations, the film has cinematography by AR Ashok Kumar and editing by Raymond Derrick Crasta. Enga Veettu Mappillai television show fame Abarnathi plays the female lead in this film which has Radikaa Sarathkumar, Pasanga Pandi, Ravi Mariya in supporting roles. GV Prakash was last seen in Vannakkam Da Mappilei which had a direct OTT release on Sun NXT platform in April 2021.
